Awkwafina
Awkwafina, an American performer and actress, started by releasing witty raps which addressed racial identities and sexuality. Before expanding into Hollywood her music, she came out with an album of rap songs. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants, was her first music experience. She played the trumpet. Later, she began hip-hop and classical training. In college she focused on her studies, majoring in journalism and women's studies. In a short period that was spent in Beijing, she also studied Mandarin. After graduating, she began to pursue music as her main focus. Her hit song My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity via the Internet in 2012. The track was later included in her first album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. Some other hits that went viral included Queef song, as well as the winking NYC Bitche$ hometown tour. The latter track was connected to Awkwafina's NYC and 2015 travel guide. A musician and an author were in her portfolio, she decided to began looking for acting in a third project. Along with the early TV shows such as Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in film projects like Neighbors and Storks. She made her debut in the year 2018 when she appeared in a number of notable films like Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released the EP in Fina We Trust.
